TEHRAN -- Tehran Municipality’s Cultural and Artistic Organization will distribute books among the passengers on the buses and the subway trains by the end of the summer, the organization’s public libraries manager told the MNA here on Friday.
The program is intended to promote book-reading during traveling time, Maziar Nilchi added.
People will receive the books when they embark and they have to give them back before getting off, he explained.
The books will cover general information to boost urban life and alleviate its predicaments, he stated.
Nilchi believes that current problems like the lack of buses or trains in Tehran’s transportation system should not prevent officials from conducting cultural activities.
